Terms of Service

Riidact is a browser extension and dashboard that checks what you're about to send on sites you point it at, and holds back things that look sensitive so you can decide. Checking runs on your device; the dashboard stores your rules and metadata receipts of catches, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Riidact reduces the chance of sensitive information slipping out. It does not eliminate it. Detection is pattern- and model-based: it will miss some things, flag some harmless ones, and a redaction may not fully apply in every editor or on every site. It is a tool, and like any tool it can be wrong. Always review a message yourself before you send it. Riidact is a safety net to help a person check their own work, not a replacement for that check, and not a compliance guarantee.

You stay responsible for what you send and for meeting any legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations that apply to you. To the extent the law allows, Riidact is not responsible or liable for the consequences of anything you send, whether it was flagged, missed, or redacted, including any legal, financial, or reputational harm to you or your organization. If accuracy of detection is critical to you, do not rely on Riidact alone.

Keep your sign-in secure and your account details accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. Each person may belong to one team at a time.

• The Free plan is free. Pro is $5 per month. A team is your Pro plan plus $5 per month for each member you add, billed to the team owner.
• Subscriptions bill monthly in advance through our payment processor. Seat changes take effect from the next billing cycle: someone added mid-month is not charged for that month, and someone removed mid-month is not refunded for it.
• Cancel any time from the billing portal. You keep what you paid for until the end of the period, and the plan then drops to the Free tier. We do not give partial-month refunds.
• Prices may change; we will give notice in the dashboard before a change applies to you.

The team owner manages membership, shared rules, and billing, and can see members' catch receipts unless the team enables aggregation. Members can leave at any time and take their personal rules with them. Ownership transfers only when the other person accepts. If a team's plan lapses, the team stays intact at the Free tier until the owner resubscribes or disbands it.

You agree not to:

• use Riidact to break the law or violate others' rights;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or access another account's data;
• resell the service or misrepresent it as your own.

The rules you write are yours; you give us the limited right to store and sync them so the service works. The Riidact software and site are ours; we give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use them while these terms are in effect.

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the same extent, our total liability for any claims arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and complete, including your sign-in and billing profile. We may suspend or end access for abuse of these terms or non-payment, and will say why when we do.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will note it here and in the dashboard before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Questions reach us at support@riidact.com.
